What is an allergen?
An allergen is a microscopic substance that is responsible for causing an allergic reaction.  Some common allergens are pollen, mold, dust mites and animal dander.

Why do we care if allergens have positive or negative charges?
Opposite charges attract.  The Little Allergies™ Allergen Block gel carries a charge which is opposite the charge that an airborne allergen carries. Since opposite charges attract, Little Allergies™ Allergen Block acts like a magnet and helps to trap the oppositely charged allergens on contact, much like an air filtration system works.

Why do some people suffer from allergies?
An allergic reaction is the body's immune system overreacting when it comes into contact with certain allergens such as pollen, mold, etc. If you have an allergy to these substances, when you inhale them they get inside you. Once they get inside you, your body tries to deal with them by producing a type of “attack antibody” to neutralize them. This antibody is called IgE. In the process, a substance called “histamine” also gets released. It is the histamine that is the cause of allergy symptoms.

What are some of the common symptoms of an allergy?
Sneezing, nasal congestion, runny/itchy nose and watery/itchy eyes.

What are the Little Allergies™ Allergen Block ingredients?
Little Allergies™ Allergen Block is a topical gel containing petrolatum, glycerin and other ingredients.

What is so unique about this topical gel?
A patented formulation process creates a positively charged gel which can block negatively charged airborne allergens on contact.

How do I apply Little Allergies™ Allergen Block?
Directions (For external use only)
For best results, use before symptoms start.
Put a small drop on your forefinger.
Rub between forefinger and thumb.
Apply product around nostrils and between nose and upper lip.
Rub in until dry to the touch.
Repeat every 4 to 6 hours.
Reapplication is suggested if nose or face becomes wet.

How does Little Allergies™ Allergen Block work?
Little Allergies™Allergen Block works by helping to block airborne allergens before they enter the nose, so your body does not have to fight them once inside your upper respiratory system.

When should my child use Little Allergies™ Allergen Block?
It is best to use Little Allergies™ Allergen Block BEFORE your child’s symptoms start. Some recommended uses of Little Allergies™ Allergen Block are before playing outside, before hiking/walking/running, before entering a home with pets, etc.

How often can my child use Little Allergies™ Allergen Block?

Yes, Little Allergies™ Allergen Block targets both indoor and outdoor nasal allergens.

For what types of allergies can Little Allergies™ Allergen Block be used for?
The specific types of allergens which Little Allergies™ Allergen Block targets are ragweed, pollen, pet dander, dust mites and house dust.

What if my child pets a dog, cat or other animal and then rubs his or her eyes. Will Little Allergies™ Allergen Block prevent itchy and/or watery eyes in this situation?
No, Little Allergies™ Allergen Block is effective only against airborne nasal allergens. If your child pets an animal and the animal dander gets on his or her hands, it is possible that your child might transfer allergens from the hands directly to the eyes if he or she rub their eyes. If this happens, your child may still experience symptoms such as itchy, watery eyes.

What if my child is already suffering from nasal allergy symptoms, will Little Allergies™ Allergen Block still work?
If your child suffers from allergies, you know that once the symptoms start it can take a while before they subside. If your child is already experiencing nasal allergy symptoms, you should make sure your child takes the allergy medication prescribed by or recommended by your doctor.

However, your child can still use Little Allergies™ Allergen Block along with his or her regular allergy medication.

Why?  Because although Little Allergies™ Allergen Block works best when used BEFORE the appearance of nasal allergy symptoms, Little Allergies™ Allergen Block can still help target airborne allergens, especially if your child remains in an environment where the allergens are present.

Can my child use Little Allergies™ Allergen Block if he or she does not currently use any allergy medication?
Yes, Little Allergies™ Allergen Block is designed to help manage nasal allergy symptoms by targeting airborne allergens BEFORE they enter the nose. Little Allergies™ Allergen Block can also be used in conjunction with allergy medications for additional relief.
